Editorial Standards

How Parabanking sources, prepares, checks and corrects its journalism.

Sources

We monitor publicly available RSS and Atom feeds published by central banks, financial regulators, international standard-setters and established financial and fintech news outlets. We give priority to primary sources. For official announcements, we may read the full public text. For third-party publishers, we use only the headline and summary that the publisher makes available in its feed, and we link prominently to the original reporting. We do not bypass paywalls, scrape restricted content or reuse publishers' photographs.

Use of automated editorial systems

Stories credited to the Parabanking Editorial Desk are prepared with the help of automated systems, including AI language models. These systems assess relevance, identify duplicate coverage, draft original summaries and context, and assign sections, topics, companies and jurisdictions. We do not attribute automated work to named journalists, and we never present automated output as interviews or first-hand investigation.

Quality and verification checks

  • Articles may only state facts contained in the cited source material. Quotations, figures, valuations and dates must not be invented.
  • Each draft is scored for relevance and quality against thresholds set by our editors. Items below the thresholds are not published.
  • Stories involving unverified claims, legal sensitivity or high-impact assertions from secondary sources are held for human review instead of being published automatically.
  • Repeated reports of the same event are merged into the existing article, which gains an additional source link rather than being republished.

Fact, analysis and opinion

News articles report what has happened. Analysis explains implications and is labelled as such. Opinion is clearly labelled commentary. Sponsored content is always labelled "Sponsored Content" and is never presented as independent coverage.

Images

We use original editorial illustrations created for Parabanking, or images we are licensed to use. Illustrations are not photographs of the events described.

Corrections

We correct material errors promptly and note significant updates on the article. See our Corrections Policy.
