Privacy Policy
Draft policy for review by the publisher's legal advisers.
This policy is a professional draft and must be reviewed and adopted by the publisher before relying on it. Publisher details are shown below.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name and sign-in method when you register.
- Preferences: companies, topics, countries and alerts you follow; bookmarks; optional reading history; notification settings.
- Enquiries: information you submit through our forms.
- Usage measurement: anonymised page views. We do not store IP addresses; we use a daily-rotating, one-way hash to estimate unique visitors. Visitors who have not consented are not measured.
Why we use it (legal bases)
To provide the services you request (contract), to keep the service secure and improve coverage (legitimate interests), and for audience measurement where you consent. This approach is designed for compliance with the EU and UK GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We use infrastructure providers to host the service and process data on our behalf.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your preferences, alerts, bookmarks, history and notifications are deleted.
Your rights
You may access, export, correct or delete your data from Account settings, object to processing, or complain to your data-protection authority.
